Cast and Locations

Planning - Our Cast and location.

This week we have been trying to organise the Cast which will play our characters, and where our key scenes will be filmed.

Four our four key characters, Lucy, Jay, Bridget and Jonathan, we have chosen actors that we feel would reflect the characters and play the parts to their full potential.

Lucy
Jess Codd will be playing Lucy one of the key characters in the film. She is the stereotypical girly, pretty Rom Com female lead. And has the right look for our film opening.
Jess takes drama as an A level and took it as one of her chosen subjects for GCSE which she did very well in. This makes her the perfect female lead for our film as we believe she will feel confident in front of a camera and add good quality acting into the film. We are all confident with the choice of jess for our film opening.

Jay
Gregory Reynolds is our male lead in our film and he will be playing the part of Jay, he plays Lucy's boyfriend. He plays a slightly clumsy, more comical character who clashes with Lucy's dad.
Greg has not done any acting but he enjoyed talking it in school he is confident, witty and funny so we felt he would be perfect to play our male lead. He also has the right looks to appeal to a female audience which is essentially our primary target audience. We all feel he suits this character well.

Bridget.
Tracy Eglon, plays the character of Bridget who is Lucy's mum. She plays the polite, quiet character, who is slightly more in charge of her and Jonathan's relationship than Jonathan is. Bridget as a character is very similar to Tracy which is why we felt she would play the part well. She also has the look we was looking for and is willing to play the part. We are really pleased to have got her to play the part.

Jonathan
Matt Goodman, is playing Jonathan, Lucy's dad. He has the right kind of looks for a dad figure; he plays the role of the arrogant dad who refuses to accept his little girl has got a boyfriend. He is quite a comical character within the film that causes plenty of trouble in the film. We feel he will play the part really well and also is related to Tracy, we feel casting this so she knows who will be her husband in the movie is good as she will feel confident acting with him.

Location.

For the location of Lucy and Jay's scene, we have chosen the village of Tealby, as it is a picturesque, and idyllic village, which we always imagined would be our setting - It also challenges the general stereotype of romantic comedies as mostly these are filmed in famous cities
